Ergonomics and Computer Use
When you are
using computer, the first thing to remember is to straighten your upper back.
After that straighten out your lumbar spine, so you have a little lordosis on
your lower back. Then the next thing is to put your knee in 90 degree flexion
angle, so that your ankle is on the same line with your knee down to the
floor. Your foot should be relaxed on
the floor. You should also lower or higher your chair, so that your hip is a
little bit higher than your knee.
The humerus
should be in downward position. Put your elbow in 90 degree flexion angle, so
that your wrist is laying relaxed on the table.
The computer
screen should be located a little bit higher than your shoulder, so that you
are looking at the computer screen a little bit downward.
Lighting
should be posited so that there doesn't come any reflection to your computer
screen.
Remember
also have breaks if you are working long days at computer. Also remember to change your mouse hand for
avoiding too much stress on your other hand.
